Glossary
The terms you'll see in a scan, in plain English.
Block zero
The block a token launched in, and so the first moment anyone could buy it. Buying in block zero usually takes a bot or advance notice of the launch. Unmask shows how much of the supply was bought in block zero and how much those wallets still hold.
Bonding curve
How launchpads like pump.fun sell a new token: the price is set by a formula, and buyers buy straight from the curve. Liquidity can't be pulled while a token is on its curve. Once enough has been bought, the token graduates to a regular trading pool.
Bundle
Launch buyers with a proven link: funded by the same wallet, or bought for in one transaction. Often it's one buyer spreading a large purchase across several wallets so it looks smaller. Wallets that only bought in the same block aren't counted, since busy launches look like that too. If bundles still hold over a fifth of the supply, the score is capped at 35.
Coverage
How many of the six signals a scan could check. When a check can't be read it's marked Not checked and earns no points, and the scan shows a Limited data note that names it.
Dev wallet
The wallet that created the token. Wallets that got their funds from the dev are counted alongside it, because they're often the same person.
Exit slippage
How far the price would fall if someone sold. Unmask asks Jupiter for real sell quotes for three cases: selling 1% of supply, the top holder selling their whole bag, and the top 10 holders all selling.
Hold style
Where a trader sits between flipper and holder, from 0 to 100, based on how long they usually hold a position. Selling within a couple of minutes scores 0, and holding a month or more scores 100. The scale is logarithmic, so the difference between 5 and 30 minutes counts as much as the difference between 1 and 6 days.
Linked wallets
Wallets connected to each other by token transfers, which can make one large position look like many small ones. If linked wallets hold half the supply or more, the score is capped at 60.
Likely next move
The chance a FOMO trader sells half or more of their bag within the next 10 minutes, hour or day, from their complete trading history. It's always "likely", never certain, and it lists the three things that weigh on it most.
Limited data
A note on a scan when a check couldn't run, or ran on partial data, naming which. A check that didn't run earns no points, and if it's one of the key checks (the launch, the holders or the liquidity), the grade can't be better than Caution.
LP burned or locked
LP tokens prove ownership of the liquidity in a trading pool. When they're burned, no one can withdraw that liquidity. When they're locked, no one can withdraw it until the lock ends. When they're unlocked, the owner can pull the liquidity at any time. Concentrated pools have no LP tokens: each provider can withdraw their own position unless it's locked. If most of a token's liquidity can be withdrawn, the score is capped at 45.
Pattern read
A gentle, one-badge read of a trader's on-chain habits, shown on Trending. Consistent means steady positions with nothing unusual. Active trader means they trade very often, and nothing unusual beyond that. Often early means they often buy in the first blocks of launches. Sells into buyers appears only when they sold soon after their followers bought on most of their recent trades. Limited history means there aren't enough completed trades to judge, and it's never a bad rating.
Quick dump
Selling half or more of a position within 10 minutes of buying it.
Sell pressure
How much of the supply is held by FOMO traders who are likely to sell soon, rated Low, Medium or High. It's worked out from each trader's habits, such as their hold style and how often they quick dump, and weighted by the size of their bag.
Snipers
Wallets that bought in the first few blocks after block zero. Unmask looks at the four blocks after the launch block.
Token-2022 extensions
Optional features of Solana's newer token program. Some can hurt holders: a transfer fee taxes every transfer, a transfer hook runs custom code that could block sells, and a permanent delegate can move tokens out of any wallet.
Trading style
How a FOMO trader usually trades, from their history across all their trades, not just one coin. Long-term holder means a median hold of a week or more. Swing trader is a day to a week, and Short-term trader is under a day. Quick exits means they sold half or more within 10 minutes on most trades. New trader only appears when their whole history has been read across every wallet that's theirs, it has fewer than 10 trades, and FOMO agrees (their account is under two weeks old, or FOMO counts fewer than 10 trades). Limited history means their history isn't complete yet, or FOMO counts far more trades than we found (often because they also trade on other chains); their habits then count as a risk until it is. Early entrant can appear alongside the main style when they often buy in a launch's first blocks. Every badge shows its evidence when you hover over it or press and hold it.
